As a mum myself, I genuinely appreciate the value of having really lovely photographs of you with your children, captured by a professional!
And because I enjoy photographing my clients in the best possible light, a few years ago, I invested in training with two multiple UK award-winning family photographers. FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY PRICING
STEP 1: Choose when you would like your photoshoot – midweek or weekend, bank holiday, or school holiday.
MIDWEEK
Monday - Friday- Pre-shoot consultation. Typically takes place in your home. Includes planning your bespoke shoot, help with planning your family’s wardrobe (choosing outfits from your existing wardrobe to capture you at your best), and shooting for specific design needs – for example wall art in your home or a special album.
- Up to a 2 hour shoot within 10 miles of Orpington. Can take place in your home and/or a nearby outdoor location.
WEEKEND
Weekends & public holidays- Pre-shoot consultation. Typically takes place in your home. Includes planning your bespoke shoot, help with planning your family’s wardrobe (choosing outfits from your existing wardrobe to capture you at your best), and shooting for specific design needs – for example wall art in your home or a special album.
- Up to a 2 hour shoot within 10 miles of Orpington. Can take place in your home and/or a nearby outdoor location.
STEP 2: Once you have viewed your images online, choose from one of the following packages.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What if it rains?
Touch wood, I’ve not had a client shoot rained on yet!
This is because, at the time of booking, we also schedule a back-up date, in case of rain. Two days before your shoot, I triangulate three trusted weather sources, and text you to confirm the weather forecast / if we will need to move to the back up date.
For mini shoots, we schedule for the morning, and keep the afternoon free (again, texting you two days before your shoot to confirm our exact meeting time) in case of forecast showers.
Can we do some photographs at home and some elsewhere?
Absolutely, yes for full family photo shoots! During the consultation, we can look at the best places to photograph in your home, and also discuss where would suit your family best in terms of a nearby outdoor location too!
Can I buy gift vouchers for a shoot?
You’re very welcome to purchase a photo shoot as a gift!

Combining shooting for images you would love to have, premium quality prints, and knowledge of what will look great in your home using suppliers such as John Lewis, enables me to make suggestions for bespoke premium heritage wall art & / albums in your home at your viewing session, without the premium price tag.
HOW THE FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY SHOOT WORKS
Book
To book with Orpington family photographer Luci, you just need to confirm when you would like to have your shoot and settle your deposit via bank transfer. Simply either complete the contact form on this page or send an email to luci@lucischofieldphotography.com to make the necessary arrangements.
Plan
We begin with a conversation (consultation), typically in your home, about the photographs which would mean the world to you. It takes 30 – 40 minutes, and with the hybrid working now available to so many of us, clients often diarise this for either the start or towards the end of the working day.
We work backwards, from what you would like to do with your images (display them in a particular place, create a keepsake album…), and then use your answers to a collection of really simple questions to create images which are truly personal to you and your family:
- Where would you like to display your images? In an album or on a particular wall at home? This also helps us think about the shoot’s location & colours – and your wardrobe too! And most importantly, it helps us make sure your images suit the space in which you wish to display them, perfectly.
- Would you like some help with putting together your wardrobe? I’m yet to meet a client whose eyes haven’t lit up and exclaimed “YES!”. There’s nothing quite as satisfying as looking through your wardrobe with you to help you find outfits for you and your family, which will both suit your family’s personality and photograph well. This usually takes just 10 minutes, and the smiles are awesome!
- When’s the best time of day for your child/children? Mornings around 10am are often a good start time for most families, factoring in any all important naps.
- Which games does your child / do your children love playing with you?
- Is there anything else which is special that you would love to remember about what your child is / children are doing right now?
- In terms of location(s), many clients feel at their most relaxed having their shoots at home, (British weather permitting) and/or a cherished nearby outdoor location. I am happy to travel (with expenses covered), so if there is a place you’d love to explore, or an activity you’d especially love to have captured with your family – just say the word!
Having finalised our plan, we confirm our time & location(s) for the shoot, and your session to view your photographs.
Shoot
Lasting up to 2 hours, our photo shoot is designed to be relaxed with plenty of time for fun, downtime & snacks, using the games we talked about in our earlier conversation, among other things, to help capture your relaxed laughter, smiles, love and connection as you enjoy spending time together!
View & Enjoy
7 – 10 working days after your shoot, we meet again, typically in your home, for your viewing. We will look at your photographs, and I will also make suggestions for your consideration as to how to best display them, using the professional prints from your package, in beautiful frames such as the ones from John Lewis. Upon payment for the package by bank transfer at your viewing session, your selected stunning high resolution digital images will be made available for you to download and enjoy immediately, and your professionally printed products will arrive at your home address within 4 – 6 weeks.
