Choose from one of three styles of photography training tailored to your needs. Whether you are a family, solo parent or business and brand owner I can help you to get the most from your camera or phone. Options include:
CAMERA COURSE 1-2-1 IN PERSON
This practical 2-hour individual beginners photography course in Orpington (taught in two parts), teaches you how to use your DSLR camera to capture lovely natural images of your family, your business, and/or simply the little things in life which catch your attention.

This online 2-hour individual beginners photography course (taught in two parts), teaches you how to use your DSLR camera to capture lovely natural images of your family, your business, and/or simply the little things in life which catch your attention.

PHONE GROUP COURSE VIA ZOOM
This online course shows you how to get the best images from your mobile phone over 2 sessions. We work together in a small group to help you capture images of your family or for your social media if you are a small business.

As an Orpington Mum, working photographer and a former Goldsmiths University creative-learning trained primary school teacher, I am well placed to help you to learn about photography in a way that suits your needs. I have designed my training in a way that keeps it as bespoke as possible so….

Tailored to how you personally learn best, it will provide you with a solid foundation for taking better photographs, ensuring:
- You have plenty of time to practise, ask more questions and master your new skill.
- The subject is personally engaging! This is why I focus on your main beginner’s photography goal (for example, learning how to take better photographs of your family) in our tuition.
Since the beginning of 2020 (I am very honoured to say!) my work has been published in The Guild of Photographers‘ Creative Light Magazine as well as the below publications.

HOW THE
PHOTOGRAPHY TUITION WORKS
1.
SESSION 1 LEARN
The first training session is all about getting to know your camera or phones capabilities and then working on understanding light and composition. We will cover ISO, Aperture and white balance to name just a few.
2.
PRACTISE AT HOME
Over the course of the following week, you have an opportunity to practise what we discussed in preparation for session 2.
3.
SESSION 2 REVIEW
Within about a week of your initial session, we will meet to talk again, review your photos and check you have gotten the hang of things. You can also ask any questions.
BEGINNERS PHOTOGRAPHY PRICING
Step 1 – Choose when you would like your photography tuition – midweek or weekend, bank holiday or school holiday.
Step 2 – Contact Luci to book & settle your fee.
1-2-1 IN PERSON
Midweek- 3 hour session covering tuition (course outline below).

WHAT MY STUDENTS ARE DOING NOW

Early in 2024 I had the pleasure of teaching Johnny Thorpe, a 12 year old boy who has a keen interest in wildlife photography. We worked together on a 121 basis, on the fundamentals of photography. He instantly was able to put what I showed him into practice (as can be seen in this photograph). This is just one of his first images. He has gone on (with the support & encouragement of his family) to create his own Instagram account showcasing his talent here: @jgt_photography24
